WHAT CAT OWNERS SAY
Both me and my cat have severe allergies after a prolonged mold exposure, so I can’t use basically any other cat litters out there. Clay, coconut, grass, corn, wheat- none of it. I spent literally three years trying to find litter that my cat and I weren’t allergic to and didn’t give me asthma attacks. We both are 100% not allergic to this! No asthma attacks, no sneezing, and he doesn’t scratch his ears and pull out his fur anymore! I got a stainless steel sifting litterbox, unscented pee pads (the kind for the Tidy Cats Breeze system), some zeolite pellets to keep everything dry, and this cat litter. Finally, a litter system that works and doesn’t make us sick!
Best of all, it’s flushable and it doesn’t track. I’m disabled and can’t always take out the Ubbi waste pail bags right away, so being able to flush the poop down the toilet has been great for keeping my home smelling nice. Speaking of smell, I love the way this litter smells. It smells like a warm summer day, and it makes my cats smell like that, too. I have a sensitive nose and any scented litters are pungent and irritate my nose. This one smells faintly like a warm field of sunflowers and it’s so, so pleasant.
I have a longhaired senior cat who struggles to groom herself due to arthritis and I love that this litter doesn’t get stuck to her fur or butt like clay litters do. I also like knowing that if she grooms herself this stuff won’t hurt her like residue from clay or crystal litters would.
My one small complaint is that poop is the same colour as the litter, so I do have to do a bit of hunting to make sure I scoop it all out, but it’s not a huge deal. I’ve been using the clumping litter and the clumps aren’t super tight, but honestly I wouldn’t expect them to be since this doesn’t have binders and coagulants like other litters do. I’m very allergic to corn so even starch would make me sick, and while the clumping is a bit loose it’s still better than the alternative. Now that I’ve switched to the sifting litterbox setup I’ll be changing to the non-clumping litter so that should fix the issue I had with the clumps not always being super firm. Mixing this litter with some zeolite pellets was the perfect solution to the problem of wet residue being left behind after scooping because the zeolite keeps everything dry. My cat won’t use the zeolite pellets on their own, and he pooped outside the box in protest when I tried, so he definitely prefers this stuff.
I’m just so glad I have a litter I can use that doesn’t make me or my cat sick. I would’ve tolerated the allergies and asthma and stayed sick rather than even considered giving up my cats, but I’m so glad this stuff exists and I don’t have to. Can’t wait for the new one that is supposed to work with automatic litter boxes!

It's too dark for me. I have small kittens and need to check for blood in their urine because I have pedigree cats. If it weren't for the small kittens, I could still use it, but I recommend it for adult cats. It doesn't stink from the litter box and is 100% natural, which is important. I give it a big 4.
I flushed some used "naturally non-allergic" cat litter down the toilet and it dissolved; the toilet didn't clog. It’s true—you can flush it down the toilet.
Sunflower husk cat litter is an awesome idea—it repurposes waste and can be flushed down the toilet.
I’ve been reading up on the terms "hypoallergenic" and "non-allergenic." Indeed, "hypo-" means "less," while "non-allergenic" means "no [allergy]." Since sunflower husks contain only a negligible amount of the protein that triggers allergies, I conclude that a "Naturally Non-Allergic" product does not cause allergic reactions in humans or cats.
I was worried about the dark color, but my cat accepted it without any issues. I have to say, the dark color is a great idea because waste doesn't show up as much. It’s eco-friendly and made in the US, which gives a sense of security regarding supply continuity—these days, it’s better to have production local. Overall, I give it a 5!

I am satisfied, and so are the cats; this naturally non-allergenic formula suits them, and they adapted to it quickly. I checked the difference between the terms "hypoallergenic" and "non-allergenic"—"hypoallergenic" means the product is *less likely* to trigger a reaction, not that it is completely free of allergenic properties. I recommend it for cats with allergies.
I used to use "hypoallergenic" litters, but I’ve noticed that’s not the same as truly non-allergenic; my cat scratches and sneezes less now. I think I’ve found a really good cat litter.
